The smooth tones of the clarinet are always a joy to hear and this can usually be achieved quite quickly by a beginner.

We always have second hand clarinets in stock, which are available to hire or purchase. Clarinets for beginners to Grade 5 are normally made of plastic and our stock usually consists of Buffet B12, Yamaha and Jupiter clarinets. Around Grade 5 we would recommend upgrading to a wooden clarinet and we also have these available for hire or purchase.

Reeds are required for the clarinet – these can last 10 seconds or several weeks! We would advise having a couple of spare reeds available at all times and we have a range of strengths of Vandoren and Rico reeds in stock. We also have a selection of mouthpieces, cleaning products, cases, straps and stands for clarinets.
